Keen-eyed readers may have noticed some of my posts are now prefaced with either __Doing Great Things!__ or __better*practices__. Both titles come from side-projects of mine that have been languishing for too long. From the DGT! mission statement:
>doing great things! seeks to recognize, highlight and encourage those who actively work for positive change — for themselves, for a few others, or for the entire world — emphasizing the stories and/or advice that inspire the rest of us to strike our own note.
Instead of writing an entry about my plans for the sites and then having to excuse myself later, I decided simply to give birth to them here, on this site, as a subset of my other posts. If they grow to become their own entities later, I’ll be thrilled. On the other hand, if they remain part of this blog, wonderful too.
The idea is that time spent talking is time not spent doing. To get things done, talk less. Or at the very least, __talk about what you’ve done__, not what you’re going to do.
