Apple Pages PDF output got the Jaggies?

I discovered today, after many attempts to figure out what had gone wrong with my fonts, that Apple’s Pages (part of iWork) will not antialias (smooth) fonts that are smaller than the system’s threshold. That is, in __System Preferences__, after clicking the _Appearance_ icon, you’ll see a small menu at the bottom of the window that says

Turn off text smoothing for font sizes

and smaller.

Change that to something really low, like 4,6, or 8, and export the PDF from Pages again. Et voila, everything looks pretty.

And my resume is ready to go again!
