Somehow… staying busy

When I left home this morning, I intended to go to Makawao, drop off my resum? at a temp agency there and then drive down toward Paia to hand another copy of my resume and an application to the company Jess works for, and then to drive on to my yoga teacher’s house to do some much needed yardwork. Two out of three ain’t bad: I dropped off my resum? to both places, but by the time I finished that task, the clouds had burst open and started drenching the island with winter rain. I literally had to change my shirt after running back to the car.

Jess constantly reminds me that the key to getting a job is persistence, which I _know_ in my mind and heart is true. I don’t disagree… sometimes I just don’t remember to follow up with employers, or remember to write down that I need to follow up, or remember to remember to write… and so on. That’s part of the difficulty I face on a daily basis: holding on to my helpful thoughts long enough to put them down on the computer or on paper so that I’ll remember them when I need to. Which reminds me, I still need to mail something… (be right back after I put that on my to-do list) … back! **And** I still need to work out a daily plan (wake up, coffee, yoga, review to-do list, breakfast, etc.). I have some of the tools on my computer: [iCal][] and [instiki][] among them.

I’m going to offer prints of my photos for sale once I figure out the best way to accomplish that. You can see them by clicking on the “[Recent Photos][pix]” link in the sidebar - please let me know your favorites!
